A tragic accident near Tadcaster Grammar School in North Yorkshire has claimed the life of a teenage girl, with another seriously injured. The collision, involving a white Mercedes Sprinter minibus and a Hyundai i10, occurred at approximately 12:30 GMT on Toulston Lane, a location now closed to traffic as police investigations continue.

Details of the Incident

The minibus, carrying nine passengers aged 16 to 18, was traveling towards Sherburn when it collided with the Hyundai i10, driven by a 40-year-old woman. The driver of the Hyundai has been arrested in connection with the incident. The teenage girl, a passenger in the minibus, tragically died at the scene, while another girl was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining passengers and the minibus driver were treated for minor injuries.
