Following the incident, police arrested a 31-year-old woman at the scene on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. His van, noted for its distinctive large teddy bear, was a common sight in the area. "We all used to play cricket and football here in Monks Park," Butt reminisced, highlighting the deep connections Khan had within the community.

Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams expressed condolences to Khan's family and friends, acknowledging the community's concern.
