The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and NHS have initiated a comprehensive screening program to ensure the safety of the approximately 3,000 workers at the site.

The GMB Union, representing many of the warehouse's workers, has demanded the temporary closure of the facility until robust infection control measures are in place. Amanda Gearing, a senior GMB organizer, stressed the need for "immediate and decisive action." Zarah Sultana, MP for Coventry South, criticized Amazon's decision to keep the warehouse open, describing it as "outrageous" and reminiscent of "Victorian era" working conditions.
