The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has intensified with a series of missile and drone attacks, causing significant damage and casualties on both sides. In Ukraine's southern city of Mykolaiv, Russian missile strikes have destroyed homes and civilian infrastructure, leaving at least three people injured. The city, located near the Black Sea, has been a frequent target of Russian shelling.

Meanwhile, a massive fire erupted at an oil depot near Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi, attributed to a Ukrainian drone attack. The blaze prompted the suspension of flights at Sochi's airport, as firefighters worked to control the situation. Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev confirmed that drone debris had struck a fuel tank, with 127 firefighters deployed to tackle the fire.

In Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital faced another missile attack from Russia, just days after a devastating airstrike killed at least 31 people, including five children. The attack, described as one of the deadliest since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, has prompted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to urge the international community to impose stronger sanctions on Russia.

Ukraine has also launched its own series of drone strikes targeting military and industrial sites within Russia. The Ukrainian SBU security service reported that these strikes hit a military airfield in Primorsko-Akhtarsk and a company in Penza involved in the Russian military-industrial complex. Casualties were reported in these regions, including the death of a woman in Penza and an elderly man in Samara.
